Captain - Fairmont Gold

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure the smooth daily operation of the Fairmont Gold Lounge.
• Deliver professional, friendly, and engaging service in line with Fairmont Gold standards.
• Lead service within the lounge, ensuring menu offerings and food presentation meet brand standards.
• Motivate, guide, and provide continuous coaching and development for all team members.
• Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to build loyalty and enhance the guest experience.
• Coordinate with the Front Office regarding hotel events, group arrivals, and special functions.
• Ensure accurate billing procedures for Fairmont Gold groups and individual guests.
• Maintain a strong focus on Health & Safety and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Support the hotel’s environmental and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

• One year of supervisory experience in a hotel restaurant or lounge (four-diamond preferred).
• Two years of progressive experience in a high-volume hotel restaurant or lounge.
• Thorough working knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations.
• Strong leadership, motivational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of hotel financial reporting structures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working with Opera or a related hotel management system.
• Fluency in additional languages.
• Proven expertise in food and beverage product knowledge.
