Captain

Responsibilities

• Serve as a USCG licensed officer and backup to the vessel captain
• Safely navigate the vessel and supervise the handling of gear
• Maintain safe practices aboard the ship and conduct safety drills
• Maintain discipline in accordance with company policy
• Administer required random and post-accident drug screenings
• Handle paperwork and communications with the central office
• Collaborate with operations to refine and improve the business plan

Requirements

• USCG 500 GT near coastal uninspected fishing master's license (or greater)
• Drill Instructor certification
• HACCP certification
• Specimen collector certification
• Ability to navigate effectively and follow all related regulations
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening (no THC)
• Must pass pre-employment background check
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
