Captain A320 - Instructor

Responsibilities

• Hold technical command of the aircraft and ensure the safety and security of crew, passengers, and cargo
• Lead the training and development of Etihad pilots' core competencies, including knowledge, skills, and attitude
• Conduct training duties in accordance with GCAA regulations and Etihad Airways Operations Manuals
• Provide high-quality training, course feedback, and act as a positive role model for all personnel
• Exercise effective crew resource management and maintain high standards of professionalism and decision-making
• Operate with efficiency and environmental responsibility in line with company sustainability policies

Requirements

• Minimum of 5500 total flying hours
• Minimum of 2500 PIC hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit aircraft
• Minimum of 1500 PIC hours on the A320 Family
• Valid A320 type rating (must be valid for at least 2 months at time of joining)
• Unrestricted and current ICAO ATPL and Class 1 medical
• 3 years of experience as an A320 Instructor and/or Examiner (TRI/TRE)
• 1000 hours of FSTD training and 1000 hours of LIFUS/IOE experience
• English language fluency (Level 4 or higher)
• Must not have attained the age of 59 on the day of joining

Preferred Qualifications

• Current TRE/TRI status
• Previous experience with MPL, Cadet, or Ab-initio training
• Experience with Evidence-based Training (EBT) and/or AQP/ATQP
