About the role
Responsibilities
- Support and lead complex transportation and transit capital programs, including rail, roadway, bridge, and facility infrastructure.
- Manage project governance, risk analysis, and quantitative risk modeling.
- Oversee construction project controls, including schedule (CPM), cost control, earned value, and change management.
- Develop contract management strategies, procurement processes, and scope control.
- Create performance metrics, dashboards, and strategic roadmaps to support informed investment decisions.
- Draft formal communications, including board-ready materials and stakeholder-facing documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience.
- Proven experience leading client relationships and/or project teams.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local public-sector procurement regulations (DOT/transit agencies).
- Technical expertise in project controls, project management technology, or capital infrastructure.
- Strong formal communication skills for drafting memos, letters, and stakeholder reports.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree (MBA, MPP, MPA, etc.).
- Professional certifications such as PMP, AICP, EIT, or PE.
- Experience with federal grant funding environments (FTA, FHWA, USDOT).
- Proficiency with industry-leading tools like Primavera P6, Aurigo Masterworks, or Kahua.
