Capital Projects & Infrastructure Senior Consultant (Transportation)

Responsibilities

• Support and lead complex transportation and transit capital programs, including rail, roadway, bridge, and facility infrastructure.
• Manage project governance, risk analysis, and quantitative risk modeling.
• Oversee construction project controls, including schedule (CPM), cost control, earned value, and change management.
• Develop contract management strategies, procurement processes, and scope control.
• Create performance metrics, dashboards, and strategic roadmaps to support informed investment decisions.
• Draft formal communications, including board-ready materials and stakeholder-facing documents.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience.
• Proven experience leading client relationships and/or project teams.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local public-sector procurement regulations (DOT/transit agencies).
• Technical expertise in project controls, project management technology, or capital infrastructure.
• Strong formal communication skills for drafting memos, letters, and stakeholder reports.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree (MBA, MPP, MPA, etc.).
• Professional certifications such as PMP, AICP, EIT, or PE.
• Experience with federal grant funding environments (FTA, FHWA, USDOT).
• Proficiency with industry-leading tools like Primavera P6, Aurigo Masterworks, or Kahua.
