Capital Project Audit

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough audits of capital projects, including reviewing budgets, verifying expenses, and assessing compliance
• Assess the efficiency of project controls, governance structures, and risk management processes
• Detect potential financial, operational, and compliance risks and propose mitigation measures
• Work closely with project managers and finance teams to resolve audit issues
• Compile comprehensive audit reports and communicate results to senior management
• Oversee the implementation of audit recommendations and monitor corrective actions
• Manage governance, planning, scheduling, procurement, and contract management
• Monitor execution, reporting project progress, testing, commissioning, and transferring ownership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of auditing experience, ideally in capital projects or construction
• In-depth understanding of auditing standards, financial controls, and project management
• Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English
• Experience in the Hajj and Umrah sectors and the hospitality industry
• Knowledge of Ministry of Tourism and Capital Market Authority (CMA) regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in audit tools and software applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA
