About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough audits of capital projects, including reviewing budgets, verifying expenses, and assessing compliance
- Assess the efficiency of project controls, governance structures, and risk management processes
- Detect potential financial, operational, and compliance risks and propose mitigation measures
- Work closely with project managers and finance teams to resolve audit issues
- Compile comprehensive audit reports and communicate results to senior management
- Oversee the implementation of audit recommendations and monitor corrective actions
- Manage governance, planning, scheduling, procurement, and contract management
- Monitor execution, reporting project progress, testing, commissioning, and transferring ownership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
- At least 5 years of auditing experience, ideally in capital projects or construction
- In-depth understanding of auditing standards, financial controls, and project management
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English
- Experience in the Hajj and Umrah sectors and the hospitality industry
- Knowledge of Ministry of Tourism and Capital Market Authority (CMA) regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in audit tools and software applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA
