Capital Markets Lawyer

Responsibilities

• Document, review, and execute EMEA DCM transactions, including investment grade, high yield, emerging markets bond issues, hybrid capital, and covered bonds.
• Pro-actively support business groups across EMEA and global offices through transaction structuring, execution, and negotiation of legal documents.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on risk assessment and solutions to business teams and control functions.
• Liaise with business teams and legal colleagues to maintain documentation standards, internal policies, and practice guidelines.
• Monitor relevant legal, regulatory, and documentation developments.
• Participate in firm-wide legal projects and share expertise through training and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Solid debt capital markets experience gained at a law firm or within an in-house legal team at an investment bank.
• Licensed to practice law and a member in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and execution skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in foreign languages is considered an advantage.
