Capital Actuary Manager

Responsibilities

• Support the capital management of Arch Insurance International and ensure compliance with industry legislation, regulation, and codes of practice.
• Assist senior management in evaluating strategic business choices based on capital considerations.
• Embed the Arch International capital model within the business.
• Assist the Head of Capital in managing day-to-day activities of the capital team to meet regulatory deadlines.
• Provide people management to direct reports and technical support to junior team members.
• Assist with third-party communication, process improvements, and outward reinsurance assessments.

Requirements

• Qualified Actuary with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
• Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a Capital Management Actuary and people manager.
• Detailed knowledge of stochastic modelling techniques and insurance.
• Strong knowledge of PRA and Lloyd’s requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Practical experience with capital modelling software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Tyche capital modelling software.
