Capability Development Writer

Responsibilities

• Support Air Force Headquarters in developing capability management transition documentation for the Joint Strike Missile (JSM) program
• Develop Capability Definition Documents (CDD) and support JSM Engineering and Governance documentation
• Perform Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) systems analysis and contribute to requirement formulation
• Identify and communicate capability risks to senior stakeholders
• Coordinate capability milestones, including Material Acquisition Agreements and Capability Target States
• Capture and interpret relevant legislation, policies, and business requirements to support the establishment of the JSM system

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a CDD Writer supporting various capabilities
• Proven ability to perform FIC Analysis and develop high-quality document suites
• Essential experience within the Air Domain
• Active NV2 Security Clearance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high-level English proficiency
• Familiarity with the Defence application suite and organizational document storage structures
• Ability to work onsite at Russell Offices, Canberra

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 460SQN, Intelligence agencies, or supporting Weapons, targeting, or EO
• Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) experience
• Commercial experience
• TSPV Security Clearance
