Canning Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain filling machines, seamers, conveyors, and labeling equipment according to SOPs
• Perform quality checks on every batch, including labels, codes, seal integrity, and weight checks
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues in real time and document all corrective actions
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for all equipment maintenance and work
• Complete batch records and work orders accurately to meet "Batch Correct First Time" standards
• Clean packaging equipment and conveyor lines while maintaining strict GMP compliance

Requirements

• Experience running a production or packaging line, operating machinery, or working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting equipment
• Ability to stand for 8–12 hours and repeatedly lift up to 60 lbs
• High attention to detail and the ability to remain focused during fast-paced, repetitive runs
• Ability to comply with strict GMP requirements (e.g., gowning, hair nets, no jewelry, no fragrances)
• Consistent and reliable attendance

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, military, or trades industries
