Campus Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Observe and report all suspicious activity to maintain campus safety
• Conduct regular vehicle and foot patrols across campus grounds
• Respond promptly to emergency calls for service
• Perform building lock and unlock duties as required
• Enforce parking regulations and provide standby support for special events
• Assist local law enforcement, fire departments, and EMS on campus
• Perform other duties as assigned by command staff

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• One year of security experience or prior service in the military, law enforcement, or Department of Corrections (DOC)
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Physical ability to climb stairs, stand for extended periods, and work in extreme temperature conditions
