About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as a first responder to campus emergencies, including medical and criminal incidents
- Enforce campus policies, regulations, and the Student Code of Conduct
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of campus facilities to identify hazards or unusual occurrences
- Monitor surveillance cameras, radio communications, and emergency phone lines
- Manage building access, including unlocking facilities for events and ensuring secure locks
- Direct traffic and provide crowd control during special campus events
- Complete detailed investigations and write incident, accident, and activity reports
- Serve as a liaison between the College and local law enforcement
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid state driver’s license
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technologies
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 lbs regularly (and up to 175 lbs in emergencies)
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overnight hours
