Campus Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Maintain security of persons and property through routine foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings and grounds
• Respond to emergency calls, conduct preliminary investigations, and provide first-line emergency management
• Perform dispatch duties in the 24/7 Communications and Resource Center, including monitoring cameras and alarms
• Enforce College rules and regulations and identify/remove unauthorized persons or vehicles
• Prepare detailed reports regarding investigations, complaints, and calls for service
• Coordinate with campus departments and transport sick or injured students to Health Services when necessary
• Maintain high levels of professionalism, honesty, and integrity in all community interactions

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 2-5 years of related work experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass physical and psychological examinations
• No prior criminal record
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) Certification
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and stand/walk for extended periods
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted
