Campus Safety Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Monitor campus activities, events, and video surveillance cameras
• Dispatch campus safety personnel to locations via telephone and radio
• Contact emergency responder agencies, law enforcement, and fire first responders when necessary
• Enter safety incident data into the PXU record management system and maintain logs
• Provide information and customer service to students, staff, parents, and visitors
• Escort disruptive students and supervise students awaiting interventions
• Perform general clerical duties including typing, filing, and report preparation

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• One year of experience in office clerical support, working with youth, or law enforcement
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Arizona State Driver's License
• Red Cross first aid and CPR certification (must obtain within 60 days of employment)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to operate dispatching and radio systems
