Campus Safety and Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or via golf cart to ensure the security of buildings, equipment, and personnel
• Monitor parking areas, alarm systems, and respond to security alerts or irregularities
• Enforce college regulations, including issuing warnings or tickets for traffic and parking violations
• Respond to emergency situations and coordinate with police, fire, or medical personnel as required
• Provide public assistance, such as escort services, lockout assistance, and vehicle jump-starts
• Complete routine paperwork, reports, and participate in mandatory safety and security training

Requirements

• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to complete routine paperwork and reports
• Basic computer skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service orientation
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or Bachelor's degree
• 1-3 years of experience in security-related roles
