Campus Recreation Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Manage the Oberlin College Lanes bowling center, including scheduling, revenue processes, and maintenance of the billiards room.
• Oversee the intramural sports program and implement recreational programming for the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement.
• Supervise, train, and schedule student staff and intramural sports interns.
• Serve as the Building Representative for Hales Annex Gymnasium, managing scheduling via EMS software and maintenance requests.
• Assist the Director of Campus Recreation with the development of club sports and intramural programs.
• Teach Physical Education courses as a Lecturer in Athletics and advise the College Club Bowling team.
• Coordinate campus-wide events, such as Homecoming programming, and participate in professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to multitask and manage several large projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Significant experience in training, team building, facilitation, and mentoring diverse constituencies.
• Experience in co-curricular event planning and assessment.
• Experience with budget management and financial systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience supervising student staff.
• Coaching background or direct oversight experience in sports.
• Experience servicing bowling lane equipment or a strong desire to learn.
