Campus Nurse

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of students’ physical, mental, and emotional health, providing triage and treatment for illnesses and injuries.
• Administer first aid and emergency medical response on campus.
• Manage confidential medical records and ensure compliance with medical secrecy and data protection laws.
• Monitor chronic conditions, develop individualized health plans, and support students returning from medical leave.
• Coordinate referrals to medical specialists and mental health providers.
• Develop and deliver educational programs and prevention events to promote healthy lifestyles.
• Collaborate with campus security, residence life, and faculty to improve health and safety protocols.
• Support international students in navigating the Swiss healthcare system.

Requirements

• Nurse generalist diploma (Level II) or HES degree.
• Proven experience in a nursing care unit, accident/emergency department, or similar setting.
• Experience working with young adults within a multicultural and multilingual environment.
• Excellent English communication skills and strong spoken and written French.
• Proficiency in IT systems and medical documentation.
• Ability to work with autonomy, discretion, and empathy.

Preferred Qualifications

• Qualifications in holistic or integrative health approaches.
• Experience working in a mental health or psychiatric facility.
