Campus Minister for Catholic Liturgical Music

Responsibilities

• Provide liturgical music and pastoral leadership to the university community, cultivating a joyful and inclusive worship life.
• Recruit, train, and develop student leadership, including choirs, instrumentalists, and cantors.
• Provide musical direction for weekly liturgies such as Sunday Mass and Taizé Prayer, as well as special celebrations.
• Coordinate music planning for weddings and organize a monthly Sunday organ concert series.
• Serve as an adjunct faculty member teaching applied organ in collaboration with the Department of Fine and Performing Arts.
• Manage the music budget and oversee the maintenance of musical instruments and equipment.
• Produce worship resources and aids for various liturgical services.
• Participate in campus ministry programming, including retreats, immersions, and pilgrimages.

Requirements

• M.Div. or other pastoral ministry degree.
• 3-5 years of professional ministerial experience, preferably in a university or Roman Catholic setting.
• Exceptional proficiency in pipe organ and piano.
• Strong choral conducting skills.
• Proficiency in music engraving software (Finale or Sibelius).
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to articulate the university's Jesuit, Catholic identity in an engaging manner.
