Campus Event Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support the full event lifecycle, including reservations, planning, on-site operations, and production.
• Assist with event intake and processing through the university’s event management system.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community members to execute event details and provide on-site support.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and campus service providers such as catering, facilities, and AV.
• Coordinate logistics for summer camps, including housing check-ins/outs, meal coordination, and room keys.
• Manage administrative tasks such as vendor table reservations, event registration, and paperwork processing.
• Conduct pre-event consultations and walk-throughs to ensure client needs are met.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience planning and implementing events.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn event scheduling systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Customer service mindset with a professional and approachable demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in event coordination, hospitality, or related fields.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• College or university degree (Associate degree minimum).
