Campus Construction Manager

Responsibilities

• Accountable for project and campus success regarding safety, quality, schedule milestones, and forecast accuracy
• Manage and develop an onsite team of Construction Managers and matrixed reports specializing in safety, quality, and project controls
• Manage General Contractor relationships, including personnel development and succession planning
• Provide cost-saving solutions and negotiate contractor change orders
• Manage cross-functional teams for Owner Furnished Equipment procurement and delivery
• Oversee tenant improvement or retrofit work within live data center environments
• Manage warranty work programs for existing data center buildings
• Provide weekly project status reports covering financial, schedule, and quality control metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or an equivalent degree
• 15+ years of experience in construction management and project planning for large-scale commercial or industrial projects
• Experience with ground-up construction and greenfield site development
• Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards, including fire protection regulations
• Experience in capital budget management and knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft and Google Office Suites
• Strong negotiation skills and experience providing complex problem-solving solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data center engineering, design, commissioning, operations, or telecommunications
• Experience with various construction models such as Design-Build, IPD, Lump Sum, or Cost Plus
• Advanced degrees in Engineering or Business Administration
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact
• Successful experience with Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) delivery
