Campus Advocacy, Prevention, and Student Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead the university’s prevention, education, and response efforts regarding sexual misconduct, interpersonal violence, and stalking.
• Manage and adjust the CAPE Project Strategic Plan.
• Hire, manage, and train a peer educator team to assist in campus-wide training.
• Gather and develop data collection for programmatic outcomes, attendance, and assessment.
• Oversee and coordinate meetings for the coordinated community response team and its subcommittees.
• Assist students in navigating university resources and provide referrals for academic, personal, and wellness concerns.
• Collaborate with university and community partners to promote student, faculty, and staff well-being and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least one year of experience in program development, implementation, and effectiveness evaluation.
• Demonstrated expertise in interpersonal violence prevention and advocacy within higher education or social service settings.
• Strong crisis management skills and the ability to navigate complex relationships with strict adherence to confidentiality.
• Proven ability to conduct educational programs and training workshops.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including Title IX, VAWA/Campus SAVE, and the Clery Act.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse population.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, psychology, social work, public health, or a related field.
