About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the Camp Head Chef with food preparation and staff management
- Collaborate with the Chef to create delicious meals with engaging presentations
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room
- Wash kitchen utensils, equipment, and dishes
- Help with unloading, inspecting, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies
- Enforce sanitation and food safety standards per state and local regulations
- Communicate regularly with management via calls, emails, and texts
- Ensure compliance with all staff policies
Requirements
- Ability to follow special dietary restrictions and allergen food preparation
- Ability to lead a team while being receptive to direction
- Personable, friendly, and approachable demeanor
- Ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours)
- Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in environments with extreme heat and loud noise
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of high volume commercial kitchen experience
- Valid food safety handler and sanitation certification
- Ability to pass background checks
