Camp Maintenance Worker

Responsibilities

• Perform site-wide building maintenance and complete assigned projects
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on buildings and appliances
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Carry out drywall, carpentry, painting, and general repair work
• Maintain HVAC systems and gas-fired appliances
• Support operation and maintenance of diesel generators and camp utilities
• Maintain and repair kitchen and laundry equipment
• Monitor fire alarms, emergency lights, and safety equipment
• Perform snow removal, sanding, and seasonal outdoor maintenance
• Operate small machinery such as skid-steer loaders
• Respond to urgent repair needs like power outages or leaks
• Document maintenance activities and equipment usage

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a general maintenance technician
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces
• Valid full G/Class 5 or higher driver’s license with a clean record
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in remote conditions
• Personal transportation for transit to departure hubs

Preferred Qualifications

• Trade certification in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or refrigeration
• Experience operating skid-steer loaders
• Familiarity with maintenance reporting systems
• Working at Heights or First Aid with CPR certifications
• Experience in remote, rotational, or fly-in/fly-out environments
