About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare, design, and execute weekly fresh, from-scratch menus
- Oversee and train kitchen staff, manage schedules, and assess performance
- Order supplies in line with budgetary requirements and manage inventory
- Enforce sanitation and food safety standards per state and local regulations
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, dining room, and camp surroundings
- Ensure production is accurate in timing, quantity, quality, and plating requirements
- Assist in planning and executing special events
Requirements
- Ability to follow special dietary restrictions and allergen food preparation
- Ability to lead a team and take direction
- Ability to place accurate food orders within budget
- Ability to work 8 to 12 hours per day, up to 6 days a week
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to pass background checks
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of high volume commercial kitchen experience
- ServSafe Food Service Manager certificate
