About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, design, and execute weekly fresh, from-scratch menus
  • Oversee and train kitchen staff, manage schedules, and assess performance
  • Order supplies in line with budgetary requirements and manage inventory
  • Enforce sanitation and food safety standards per state and local regulations
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, dining room, and camp surroundings
  • Ensure production is accurate in timing, quantity, quality, and plating requirements
  • Assist in planning and executing special events

Requirements

  • Ability to follow special dietary restrictions and allergen food preparation
  • Ability to lead a team and take direction
  • Ability to place accurate food orders within budget
  • Ability to work 8 to 12 hours per day, up to 6 days a week
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to pass background checks

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of high volume commercial kitchen experience
  • ServSafe Food Service Manager certificate
