Camp Facilitator

Responsibilities

• Facilitate low ropes, trust-building, and team-building activities for assigned cabins
• Supervise free time activities including waterfront, archery, and field games
• Maintain camp grounds by completing weekly assigned chores
• Assist in specialized areas such as the nurse station, kitchen, or behavioral intervention
• Provide encouragement and support to cabin members and leaders
• Participate in all camp activities, chapels, meals, meetings, and trainings

Requirements

• Passion for working with children and at-risk, low-income youth populations
• Ability to swim
• Ability to articulate a growing faith in Jesus Christ
• Willingness to live on-site for the duration of the 11-week summer season
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• Adherence to UGM’s drug and tobacco-free policies and sexual purity standards
• Active engagement in a church community

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a camp or youth work setting
• Washington State Lifeguard Certification and CPR Certification (for Lifeguard stipend)
• Experience leading groups of students and a desire for future ministry (for Speaker Internship)

• Base pay of $550 per week ($6,050 total for the season)
