About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of campers at all times through active supervision
- Guide camper character development and facilitate friendship forging
- Assist in the facilitation of a wide variety of camp activities
- Model the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility
- Act as a positive role model for all campers
Requirements
- Enthusiastic personality with the ability to inspire and motivate children
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Willingness to work as part of a team and work outdoors
- Ability to prioritize the needs of youth campers
- At least 18 years of age
- High school degree or equivalent
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
