Camp Counselor

Responsibilities

• Build positive, nurturing relationships with campers and foster character building
• Lead and participate in diverse camp activities including arts & crafts, STEM, and active games
• Maintain cooperative relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and parents
• Engage positively in camp life across various weather conditions and locations, including outdoors and aquatics areas
• Uphold the YMCA values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Courage

Requirements

• Availability to work the full camp season from 06/22/26 to 08/21/26
• Ability to attend required camp trainings before and during the season
• Must hold or be willing and able to obtain CPR & First Aid Certifications
• A patient, caring, responsible, flexible, and positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth in a recreation or similar setting
