About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary telephone contact for members, providing information regarding services, rates, and energy conservation.
- Receive and process member-reported outages by following established protocols to assist restoration efforts.
- Prepare service orders for issues such as high bills, vegetation management, and move-in/move-out requests.
- Research payment history, perform account maintenance, and discuss payment assistance options with members.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively via telephone and email.
- Adhere to all Cooperative safety policies and customer service procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of customer service experience.
- Valid State of Florida driver's license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office technology.
- Strong mathematical skills for reviewing billing history and explaining usage to members.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a utility or highly regulated customer service environment.
