About the role
Responsibilities
- Calibrate, service, and troubleshoot instruments including rheometers, viscometers, and tensile testers
- Perform technical work both in-house and at various customer sites
- Communicate clearly with customers and provide technical status updates
- Document calibration data and generate service reports
- Maintain lab equipment and support occasional equipment sales
Requirements
- Mechanical and electrical/electronic proficiency
- Ability to travel frequently and occasionally on short notice
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks like climbing, kneeling, and standing
- Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting ability
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of hands-on technical work experience
- Knowledge of metrology principles, procedures, and techniques
- Experience with Electrical, Physical, or Mechanical Calibration
- Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or higher degree in a technical field
- Basic soldering skills
