Calibration Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee complex calibrations in accordance with Z540.1, ISO 17025:2017, and internal quality procedures
• Serve as a senior field representative, traveling daily to customer sites to perform onsite calibrations
• Conduct advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and performance acceptance testing on equipment
• Lead field calibration activities including planning and coordination
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior technicians
• Maintain detailed and accurate calibration documentation and ensure compliance with ISO 17025
• Act as a technical advisor for clients to resolve technical concerns

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience performing calibrations on physical/dimensional instruments
• Proven experience in an ISO 17025–accredited calibration environment
• Formal calibration training, Military PMEL Training, or an Associate’s degree in a technical field
• Strong understanding of measurement uncertainty and traceability requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and calibration management software
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb, kneel, drive, and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IndySoft
• Prior supervisory or lead-tech experience
• Multi-disciplinary calibration experience (electrical, RF, temperature, pressure, etc.)
