Calibration Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Manage the MSD Calibration and Preventative Maintenance Program
• Supervise calibration technicians and ensure employee proficiency
• Coordinate with validation and metrology contractors for recurrent calibration activities
• Schedule internal equipment calibrations and preventative maintenance with responsible individuals
• Maintain the calibration database and records following good documentation practices (GDP)
• Monitor controlled temperature units (CTU) via the building management system (BMS)
• Assist with failure investigations and participate in validation risk assessments
• Assign new equipment identification and execute equipment transfers or retirement requests

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial laboratory, biotechnology, or related field
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a team lead role
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
• Strong communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline
• Experience with pipette calibrations per ISO 8655
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards
