Calibration Specialist, Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Perform regular calibration and maintenance of measurement and testing equipment
• Follow documented procedures to calibrate, adjust, and repair physical, mechanical, and dimensional measuring, and test equipment
• Assist in developing and validating new measurement methods, calibration procedures, and measurement uncertainty budgets
• Work independently with little supervision
• Make recommendations to improve work quality, efficiencies, and productivity
• Adhere to OSHA, NASA, and Aetos safety requirements
• Assist in training others as requested

Requirements

• US DOD Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) Certification or equivalent, or 5+ years of calibration experience in an aerospace environment
• U.S. citizenship with ability to pass a NASA background investigation
• Ability to pass initial and random drug testing
• Ability to use a personal computer for automated calibration processes and workload management
• Valid Florida Driver’s License
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive hand/arm movements
• Ability to work in an environmentally controlled laboratory setting and occasionally at outdoor customer sites
