About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the company's calibration and metrology program
- Perform calibration activities across dimensional, mechanical, thermal, pressure/vacuum, process instrumentation, and electrical domains
- Serve as the technical authority for measurement traceability and system effectiveness
- Develop and improve internal calibration capabilities and optimize calibration intervals
- Maintain calibration system records, procedures, and data integrity
- Lead Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities, including Gage R&R studies
- Perform out-of-tolerance investigations and support corrective actions
- Support internal, customer, and third-party audits related to metrology
- Provide technical guidance and training to engineering, quality, and production personnel
Requirements
- 7+ years of calibration or metrology experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with dimensional metrology equipment (gages, micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 principles and ANSI/NCSL Z540.3
- Experience working within AS9100 or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Experience performing Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metrology, or a related technical field
- Experience with electrical calibration equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
- Experience in the aerospace or defense industry
- Experience implementing calibration cost reduction or efficiency initiatives
