About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company's calibration and metrology program
  • Perform calibration activities across dimensional, mechanical, thermal, pressure/vacuum, process instrumentation, and electrical domains
  • Serve as the technical authority for measurement traceability and system effectiveness
  • Develop and improve internal calibration capabilities and optimize calibration intervals
  • Maintain calibration system records, procedures, and data integrity
  • Lead Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities, including Gage R&R studies
  • Perform out-of-tolerance investigations and support corrective actions
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits related to metrology
  • Provide technical guidance and training to engineering, quality, and production personnel

Requirements

  • 7+ years of calibration or metrology experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with dimensional metrology equipment (gages, micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 principles and ANSI/NCSL Z540.3
  • Experience working within AS9100 or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Experience performing Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
  • Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Metrology, or a related technical field
  • Experience with electrical calibration equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry
  • Experience implementing calibration cost reduction or efficiency initiatives
