Cafeteria Worker

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving large volume food items according to specific recipes
• Maintain high sanitation standards in the kitchen and serving areas
• Use commercial kitchen equipment including convection ovens, slicers, mixers, and pressure steamers
• Perform basic arithmetic to provide accurate counts of meals prepared and leftovers
• Clean and wash cooking equipment and maintain a safe, healthy work environment
• Assemble meal portions with speed and accuracy
• Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance

Requirements

• Valid Texas Food Handlers Certificate
• Valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation
• Basic mathematics and arithmetic skills
• Physical dexterity and hand/eye coordination
• Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, and lift up to 30 lbs
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pastries and cake decoration
• Knowledge of the English language
