Cafe Team Member

Responsibilities

• Engage with cafe guests to create a culture of hospitality
• Master the food and beverage menu to provide suggestions and answer questions
• Manage and resolve guest recovery situations
• Ensure cleanliness and organization throughout the cafe
• Complete tasks and prep as assigned by the Team Lead or Student Cafe Executive Officer
• Demonstrate open communication and take initiative to improve operations
• Collaborate with a diverse team in a fast-paced service environment
• Arrive on time in uniform, prepared to work

Requirements

• Exceptional communication skills
• Ability to remember and recall complex menu and operational details
• Able to stand, walk, and smile for extended periods
• Able to stoop, kneel, and ascend or descend ladders, stairs, and ramps
• Able to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 35 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous hospitality experience
• Previous food and beverage experience
