Cafe Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of Cafe Infrastructure and daily facility needs, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial kitchen equipment.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive Maintenance Program for Cafe Equipment Operations.
• Serve as the primary technician to diagnose and repair equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, steamers, dish carousels, and beverage dispensers.
• Oversee multiple Roblox Cafes to ensure operational standards for refrigeration, fire suppression systems, and physical areas are met.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance programs for both kitchen and dining areas.
• Manage service providers and vendors, acting as the first line of response for repairs before escalation.
• Maintain building infrastructure, including electrical distribution, plumbing, water filtration, and HVAC systems.
• Ensure compliance with all CalOSHA safety standards and relevant health codes and regulations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Facilities or Cafe Operations.
• Deep working knowledge of commercial kitchen components and systems.
• Strong understanding of building infrastructure, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair cafe equipment, furniture, and interior building finishes.
• Knowledge of CalOSHA safety regulations and kitchen health codes.
• Ability to work onsite in San Mateo, CA, with occasional evening or weekend requirements.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
