CAE Engineer (Passive Safety Restraint Analysis)

Responsibilities

• Lead development and validation of restraint systems including airbags, seatbelts, and steering columns
• Define occupant safety performance targets to meet global regulatory and NCAP requirements
• Perform occupant safety CAE simulations using LS-DYNA, MADYMO, or equivalent tools
• Correlate CAE results with physical full vehicle and sled crash testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for restraint packaging and integration
• Interact with suppliers for design reviews and testing sign-off
• Support advanced concept studies for future safety technologies
• Analyze test results and generate detailed technical reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering
• 4 to 10 years of experience in automotive crash safety and restraint systems
• Strong knowledge of global crash regulations and NCAP protocols
• Proficiency in CAE tools: LS-DYNA, MADYMO, ANSA, and Primer
• Hands-on experience with full vehicle and sled crash testing and data acquisition
• Familiarity with occupant injury criteria
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
