CAD Operator II

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate CAD deliverables including 2D drawings, 3D models, 3D detail models, and P&IDs/PFDs
• Read and interpret design drawings and coordinate construction documents with clients
• Review shop drawings and construction details for constructability and compliance
• Generate material takeoffs from 2D and 3D CAD data
• Perform field surveying and information gathering to support design accuracy
• Coordinate design work across disciplines such as mechanical, piping, and electrical using reference files
• Manage project files, including CAD and vendor files, ensuring timely dissemination of information
• Assist in the development of CAD standards and templates

Requirements

• Associates degree or diploma from a recognized technical school in AutoCAD, or equivalent professional work experience
• 3+ years of CAD experience utilizing AutoCAD
• Proficiency in 2D drafting and 3D modeling techniques
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and preferably Advance Steel or equivalent design applications
