About the role
Responsibilities
- Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for the spacecraft and its supporting structures
- Maintain and improve the design library and data infrastructure
- Develop, ideate, and document engineering practices to enable efficient design
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or an equivalent technical degree (e.g., physics, applied math, or industrial design)
- Proficiency with SolidWorks
- Experience with GD&T and engineering drawings
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required due to export regulations
- Passion for hardware development in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the design of complex assemblies and components
- Experience in the design of spaceflight components or vacuum-compatible systems
- Experience with surface modeling
