About the role

Responsibilities

  • Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for the spacecraft and its supporting structures
  • Maintain and improve the design library and data infrastructure
  • Develop, ideate, and document engineering practices to enable efficient design

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or an equivalent technical degree (e.g., physics, applied math, or industrial design)
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks
  • Experience with GD&T and engineering drawings
  • U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required due to export regulations
  • Passion for hardware development in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the design of complex assemblies and components
  • Experience in the design of spaceflight components or vacuum-compatible systems
  • Experience with surface modeling
