CAD Engineer

Responsibilities

• Model and draw components, structures, and manifolds for the spacecraft and its supporting structures
• Manage top-level spacecraft assemblies in CAD and maintain BOMs for production transfer
• Check and review engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and quality
• Develop, ideate, and document best practices for efficient design workflows
• Assist in recruiting and interviewing new teammates to support team growth

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a professional design role
• Proficiency with SolidWorks
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards
• A passion for hardware development and working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status (required for export compliance)

Preferred Qualifications

• Expertise in SolidWorks and PDM Administration
• Experience designing complex assemblies and components
• Experience with spaceflight components or vacuum-compatible systems
• Proficiency in surface modeling
