CAD Drafter

Responsibilities

• Detail required material and components using AutoCAD or other methods
• Prepare layouts according to specific project requirements and specifications
• Interact with customers to review plans and determine job scope
• Review drawings and supporting documentation to ensure adherence to standard practices
• Reconcile backlogs pertaining to finished materials and ordered amounts
• Maintain and update project status within the project management system
• Distribute finished detail plans to customers

Requirements

• 5-7 years of related experience in drafting or a similar field
• Technical certification or an associate degree
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong ability to interpret blueprints and contractor drawings

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate of completion in drafting, industrial drawing, or construction
• Professional experience in construction, manufacturing fabrication, or drafting
• Engineering background
