CAD Developer Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of CAD application developers across project lifecycles
• Design and architect scalable CAD plugins, add-ins, and standalone engineering applications
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
• Develop custom applications using CAD APIs such as Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or Revit
• Implement features for geometry creation, feature manipulation, and automation workflows
• Integrate CAD systems with external platforms like PLM, ERP, or cloud services
• Manage sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross-functional coordination
• Mentor junior developers and foster technical excellence
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated build processes

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in CAD application development
• 2–3 years in a leadership role
• Expertise in CAD platforms like Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or Revit
• Proficiency in C#, C++, and .NET
• Strong understanding of CAD APIs, SDKs, and object models
• Solid knowledge of geometric modeling, parametric design, and engineering workflows
• Experience integrating CAD with PLM/ERP systems or cloud services
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery and application architecture

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
• Experience in engineering automation or digital engineering solutions
• Exposure to Autodesk Platform Services (APS)
• Knowledge of manufacturing, AEC, or industrial engineering workflows
• Familiarity with DevOps and automated testing for desktop applications
