CAD Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize CAD applications, plugins, or add-ins using standard CAD APIs
• Implement automation features for geometry creation, feature manipulation, assemblies, and drawings
• Work with CAD object models to access and modify design data programmatically
• Assist in integrating CAD applications with external systems like PLM, ERP, or databases
• Debug and troubleshoot CAD-related issues regarding performance, stability, and data consistency
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups
• Create and maintain technical documentation for developed CAD modules and APIs
• Perform unit testing and assist in functional and integration testing

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in CAD application development or engineering software development
• Proficiency in C#, C++, or .NET
• Experience with CAD platforms such as Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or Revit
• Knowledge of CAD APIs, SDKs, and object models
• Basic understanding of geometric modeling, parametric design, and engineering workflows
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• Exposure to CAD customization, engineering automation, or product configurator projects
• Familiarity with Autodesk Platform Services (APS) or cloud-based CAD integrations
• Knowledge of manufacturing, AEC, or industrial engineering workflows
