Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain expert-level 3D CAD component models and large-scale mechanical assemblies within Siemens NX
  • Lead the creation of complex fabrication and assembly drawings
  • Own detailed documentation and drafting for large-scale, safety-critical welded steel structures
  • Integrate design data within Siemens Teamcenter PLM
  • Partner with structural analysts, manufacturing teams, and shop floor technicians
  • Drive clean engineering releases (ECR/ECO) and maintain configuration discipline
  • Establish and maintain drawing/modeling standards and templates

Requirements

  • Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or 5+ years relevant professional CAD experience
  • Strong professional experience in 3D CAD modeling and drafting
  • Knowledge of engineering standards such as ASME Y14.100
  • Proven track record in design detailing of metallic structures and large-scale welded assemblies
  • High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Naval Architecture
  • Extensive experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM
  • Understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
  • Familiarity with marine/offshore engineering or corrosion-conscious detailing
  • Exposure to industrial codes like AWS D1.1, DNV, ABS, or ASME BPVC
  • Experience releasing welded fabrication packages and partnering with fab shops
