CAD Designer-C

Responsibilities

• Create CAD models of custom machined parts and assemblies
• Conceptualize new design solutions and perform trade studies between design alternatives
• Document design requirements with fully-defined engineering drawings
• Research COTS components for suitability to requirements
• Create drawings for Circuit Card Assemblies, electrical cables, and other electro-mechanical assemblies
• Update documentation per engineering direction and maintain CAD modeling best practices

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Solidworks and/or CREO
• Strong 3D visualization aptitude
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of War Security Clearance
• Ability to perform physical requirements, such as lifting up to 20 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Competency in ANSI/ASME Y14.5 (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Experience in metal fabrication processes
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating in multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environments
