Cabling Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of win plans for strategic bids and tenders
• Deliver all stages of assigned projects to meet key programme milestones
• Accountable for scope of works, plans, and estimates for project elements
• Manage project controls including PMP, QA/QC, and CPP
• Handle project programming, risk and change management, EVM analysis, and budget control
• Prioritize project resources and resolve conflicting requirements
• Drive "Safety by Design" philosophy and promote SHE culture
• Monitor compliance with NEC Contract terms and conditions with subcontractors
• Manage the Programme of Works, Quality Plan, and Project Risk Register

Requirements

• Experience leading EHV/HV to 132kV Cabling Projects through all phases
• Experience working with National Grid, SSE, SPENW, or similar Network Operators
• Knowledge of street works, permit submission, and local council liaison
• Experience managing design requirements and commercial budgets for cabling projects
• Understanding of Engineering Principles and CDM
• Commercial understanding of NEC Forms of Contract
• Knowledge of Cabling Installation Techniques
• Full driving license
• Ability to pass compulsory Drugs and Alcohol testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with NG/SSE and SPENW Technical Standards, policies, and procedures
