Cable Labeling & Bundling Technician

Responsibilities

• Accurately apply printed or pre-assigned labels to both ends of fiber and Cat6 cables
• Follow naming conventions and labeling instructions from project documentation or supervisors
• Neatly bundle cables in specified groupings using Velcro straps or approved cable ties
• Package cables by job, rack, or zone according to project plans or pick lists
• Sort and stage completed bundles for shipment or deployment
• Inspect cables for correct labeling, lengths, and physical integrity before bundling
• Maintain neat and consistent bundling practices to ensure tangle-free transport and install readiness
• Track completed bundles and update internal logs or inventory systems as needed
• Report discrepancies, damaged cables, or inventory shortages to the warehouse lead
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

• Prior experience in cable management or IT infrastructure projects preferred
• Basic understanding of fiber and Ethernet cable types and uses
• Ability to read and understand cable schedules, layouts, and labeling plans
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to follow verbal instructions
• Ability to stand, bend, perform repetitive tasks efficiently, and work with hands for extended periods
• Willingness to follow instructions and adhere to safety and quality standards
