Cable & Harness Technician

Responsibilities

• Solder, crimp, strip, and fabricate flight harnesses for spacecraft
• Use essential tools and test equipment for harness fabrication
• Work under microscope and perform CIRRIS testing
• Perform quality assurance checkouts on flight harness builds
• Read wire harness schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions
• Run reports and download data for tracking purposes
• Utilize quality control methodologies for component identification

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 to 4 years of experience in harness fabrication
• Experience operating test equipment for harness checkouts
• Experience working with epoxy and potting connectors
• J-Std 001 certification
• Excellent visual acuity and color distinction ability
• U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident status
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC-610 certification
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
• NASA STD 8739.4 certification
• QA/QC experience
