About the role
Responsibilities
- Solder, crimp, strip, and fabricate flight harnesses for spacecraft
- Use essential tools and test equipment for harness fabrication
- Work under microscope and perform CIRRIS testing
- Perform quality assurance checkouts on flight harness builds
- Read wire harness schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions
- Run reports and download data for tracking purposes
- Utilize quality control methodologies for component identification
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 to 4 years of experience in harness fabrication
- Experience operating test equipment for harness checkouts
- Experience working with epoxy and potting connectors
- J-Std 001 certification
- Excellent visual acuity and color distinction ability
- U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident status
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC-610 certification
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
- NASA STD 8739.4 certification
- QA/QC experience
