Cable and Security Systems Consultant

Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive IT infrastructure solutions including structured cabling and technology room layouts
• Engineer physical security architectures such as IP video surveillance and access control systems
• Incorporate physical requirements into master blueprints including cabling pathways and power specs
• Act as the primary technology advocate for clients, aligning stakeholders with architects and contractors
• Lead construction administration through OAC meetings, site visits, and field observation reports
• Oversee final systems commissioning, client training, and formal owner acceptance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and/or 10+ years of dedicated technology consulting and field experience
• Minimum of 10 years in IT and Security design, consulting, or technical Project Management
• Deep knowledge of structured cabling (fiber, copper, outside plant)
• Understanding of enterprise network hardware and system architecture

Preferred Qualifications

• RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification
• CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification
• PSP (Physical Security Professional) certification
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
• LEED accreditation
• Experience with Wi-Fi design and predictive modeling software
