Cabinet Maker I

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install cabinet components and hardware for custom ambulances
• Mark outlines or dimensions of parts according to blueprints or drawing specifications
• Cut 45-degree miters on aluminum and anodized trim
• Adhere laminate to the substrate using contact adhesive
• Perform final assembly of parts and hardware

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, layouts, and written/verbal instructions
• Proficiency with tape measures for precise measurements
• Ability to use common hand tools and power tools, such as drills and screw guns
• Ability to work on ladders and scaffolding
• Mathematical computation skills required for job performance
• Ability to lift and move 40 lbs. without assistance
• Ability to work in non-temperature-controlled environments

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-year of experience in cabinet making or a similar field
• High school diploma or GED
