About the role
Responsibilities
- Build high-end aircraft cabinetry using veneers, laminates, and composite materials
- Read and interpret customer specification documents and engineering drawings
- Prepare kerf and fiberglass panels
- Build drawers and cabinets on medium monuments
- Apply veneer and install inlays
- Lay out and route for switches, cup holders, and inlays
- Use table saws to lay out and cut materials
- Fabricate small sheet metal parts including angles, clips, and brackets
- Manufacture assembly adjustment items such as shims and blocks
- Maintain shop tools, equipment, and a neat work area
- Comply with all safety guidelines and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years aircraft cabinetry experience
- US Citizenship required
- Ability to communicate in English (read, write, and verbally)
- Mathematical knowledge for problem solving
- Hand-eye coordination and ability to read measuring instruments
- Ability to lift 25 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Ability to work in non-dust-free environments and cramped areas
- Must possess or obtain a specific set of personal tools within 6 months
